In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Muslim Bar Association of Chicago hosted a panel discussion with leaders from various legal fields. The event was hosted at Skadden Arps and was attended by students and attorneys from many sectors.

Panelists included Hanaa Kaloti, a white collar litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis; Kinza Khan, legal counsel in Cook County’s Department of Human Rights & Ethics; Aziza Khatoon-Mehmoudzai, senior attorney at Legal Aid; Leena Odeh, Executive Director at First Defense Legal Aid; and Aisha Saad, Instructor of Law at The University of Chicago Law School.

Panelists offered insight into their various career paths, in addition to sharing advice for students and recent attorneys as they navigate the career selection and/or career change process. Discussion topics included seeking mentorship, establishing allyship and authentic DEI systems, and creating opportunities for personal and professional development.

The event concluded with a networking reception.
